Candidate to Represent central Essex
(Chittenden-2
3)
In the Vermont House of Representatives

It's truly an honor to be able to campaign for the VT House again and am asking for your vote in November. I've become increasingly troubled by the direction in which we are headed. Vermonters need a choice. HAVING LIVED A LIFE FULL OF EXPERIENCES, PLEASE ELECT ME SO THAT I CAN BRING A VOICE OF MATURITY, BALANCE, COMMON SENSE, AND TRUST to Montpelier.

"Maryse Dunbar"

For State Representative

Why am I running?

TO GIVE PEOPLE A CHOICE for a Republican candidate.

Determined to make responsible fiscal decisions & law enforcement changes to favor Vermonters.

I am grateful to say that in 2020 I campaigned to represent citizens of Essex 8-1 (which has now been redistricted as Chittenden 23 with some boundary changes). I hope to give voters a 'choice' to bring greater balance in power to the VT legislature which is obviously important with the 48 years of Dem/Prog majority in Montpelier. That has resulted in most votes to be one-party rule. Fighting INFLATION and restoring FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY is a must. Fighting CRIME is a must! Fighting for Parental Rights is a must.

In this crucial time of skyrocketing inflation, irresponsible spending & taxation, increased crime, unaffordable home heating & gas prices, food insecurity, and so many issues which are crippling the average Vermonter. DO WE LIKE WHAT'S HAPPENING? Why do we keep voting for the very people who have failed us? Families just want to thrive and feel safe. It's overdue time to restore balance in power at the Montpelier Statehouse by voting Republican which will I hope will resonate with victory throughout the state of Vermont in the future.

It has become clear that this years' focus must be on these major issues:

  • Restoring FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY is a must! HOME HEATING FUELS, GAS, & FOOD PRICES MUST COME DOWN! I would do all within my power to bring much needed recovery and stability to our Vermont economy. The $6 billion which the federal government now allocates to us to support Vermont is not guaranteed to continue.

  • CRIME! Violent crime and drug use have reached unseen levels here in VT. Trust in & support our law enforcement must be renewed. I'd propose avenues for identifying the possible future concerns in people and provide more mental health (incl. father-like mentors), drug counseling, and corrective measures. Prosecute the criminals and impose a regrettable penalty for serious crime.

  • NO NEW CARBON TAXES! The Global Warming Solutions Act that passed 2 years ago is a disaster which will in many ways, cost more than is even possible for our citizens to pay. Gov. Scott recently vetoed it but the bill will continually be brought up. It must be repealed or changed in content.

  • Supporting Parental Rights is also most important in all areas of education and healthcare.

  • Republicans are the party of, for, and by the people. We uphold the Constitution. We are one of you! We want to responsibly protect our God-given rights as we serve Vermonters with integrity.

If elected, I will do everything within my power as your State Representative to protect & work FOR you. That's what I see the job of being a STATE REPRESENTATIVE to be.

"Good Government is Responsible Legislation, not just a Party"

ENDORSED BY EX-GOVERNOR JIM DOUGLAS

"We need balance in Montpelier. Legislation is much better when both parties participate. Maryse Dunbar will provide that balance for the voters of Essex. She has the experience and the energy we need to make Vermont more affordable for our families. I hope you'll support her as your next Representative".
